Merlin vs Conexiom

Short answer

Conexiom and Merlin solve different steps of the order cycle. Conexiom's site describes AI that reads incoming purchase orders and invoices and sends ERP-ready data into 40+ ERPs, which makes it a strong fit for high-volume order entry. Merlin drafts quotes from RFQs that arrive by email, in English or French, for a rep to approve, with flat published pricing aimed at teams of 10 to 200 people.

Faster quotes. More orders. Hours back every week.

Win more orders

Buyers often go with the first solid quote they get. Merlin gets yours out in minutes, day or night, and follows up on the quotes that go quiet.

Get your team's time back

A desk that gets 60 quote requests a week at 15 minutes each spends about 65 hours a month building quotes. Merlin takes most of that routine work off their plate.

Grow without hiring

Handle more requests with the team you already have, in English and French, while good inside-sales people are hard to find.

What does Conexiom do?

According to its platform page, Conexiom focuses on purchase orders ("Reading a purchase order is solved") and invoice automation for manufacturers and distributors. Its Relay product lets you "point your order inbox at Conexiom": it accepts email, PDFs, images, spreadsheets and handwritten notes, checks each document against your master data and passes ERP-ready records to your ERP.

Its solutions page lists three uses: sales order entry and correction, vendor acknowledgements, and AP invoice matching. Conexiom says it has native integrations with 40+ ERPs, including Epicor Prophet 21, Eclipse and Kinetic, SAP S/4HANA and ECC, Infor, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle NetSuite and Sage X3, with "zero ERP changes" and a 30-day average implementation. It cites 1.5 billion+ line items processed a year, 600+ customers and SOC 2 Type II.

When is Conexiom the better fit?

Merlin does not write sales orders into your ERP. If order entry is your main pain, Conexiom's own description matches that job more closely than ours.

  • You receive a high volume of customer purchase orders and the bottleneck is keying them into the ERP.
  • You want orders written straight into an ERP such as Prophet 21, Eclipse, SAP or Dynamics 365 through a native integration.
  • You also want vendor acknowledgement checks or AP invoice matching from the same vendor.
  • You are a larger organization that needs scale already proven across hundreds of customers.

When is Merlin the better fit?

  • Your bottleneck is before the order: RFQs waiting hours or days for a quote. Merlin's Quote Desk drafts the full quote, with quantity breaks, customer-specific pricing, lead times and a PDF, in minutes.
  • Your customers write in French and English and expect a reply in their language.
  • You are a team of 10 to 200 people and want a published, flat monthly price with unlimited users and no overages. See pricing.
  • Your ERP can export to Excel or CSV and you do not want an integration project to get started. See Excel price sheets.
  • You want Québec hosting and a Law 25-minded setup. See security.

Can you use both?

Yes, in principle, because they touch different steps. Merlin helps you win the order by answering the RFQ quickly; an order automation tool like Conexiom helps you enter the PO once the customer buys. Merlin also answers "where's my order" emails from your order export through Order Status, which neither replaces nor depends on how orders were entered.

How do the integrations differ in practice?

Conexiom states it writes into 40+ ERPs natively. Merlin takes a simpler path: price sheets and orders import from Excel or CSV, or from any ERP that can export a report, such as Epicor, NetSuite, SAP Business One, Acumatica or JobBOSS. If your ERP can publish a scheduled export to a link, Merlin refreshes every 6 hours. Direct ERP integrations are custom work by our sister company JCube Tech. Frequently asked questions

Does Conexiom do quotes?

Conexiom's solutions page lists sales orders, vendor acknowledgements and AP invoices. It does not mention quotes or RFQs, as of October 2026. Ask Conexiom directly if quoting matters to you.

Does Merlin enter orders into my ERP?

No. Merlin drafts quotes, order status replies, document sends and follow-ups for your team to approve. It reads your price sheet and order data from Excel, CSV or a scheduled ERP export; it does not write sales orders into the ERP.

How much does Conexiom cost?

Conexiom does not publish pricing on its website; it offers a demo request. Merlin publishes its pricing: a $3,500 pilot, then $2,000 or $3,000 a month, plus one-time setup of $5,000 to $15,000, in CAD, taxes extra.

Which is better for a small Québec distributor?

If your main problem is slow quotes on catalog items and you serve customers in French and English, Merlin is built for that. If your main problem is keying a large volume of POs into the ERP, Conexiom's stated focus fits better.
