AI quoting ROI calculator

Short answer

Enter your RFQ volume, how long a quote takes, your inside-sales cost and average order value to estimate the rep hours freed and revenue added by faster quoting. The calculator assumes Merlin removes 60% of the time spent building routine quotes; a pilot measures the real figure.

Rep hours freed each month
39 h

Value of those hours: $1,559

Added revenue each month: $19,485, about 8 more orders a month

Estimate based on your inputs, assuming Merlin removes 60% of the time spent building routine quotes. Your pilot measures the real figure.

How is the estimate calculated?

Hours freed per month = RFQs per week × 4.33 weeks × minutes per quote × 60% ÷ 60. Value of those hours = hours × hourly cost. Added orders per month = RFQs per week × 4.33 × win-rate lift (in points ÷ 100), and added revenue = added orders × average order value.

Assumptions are illustrative. The 60% time reduction is Merlin's planning assumption, not a measured result.

Worked example

A distributor receiving 60 RFQs a week, spending 15 minutes per quote at $40 an hour: 60 × 4.33 × 15 × 0.6 ÷ 60 ≈ 39 hours a month, worth about $1,559. With a 3-point win-rate lift on $2,500 average orders: 60 × 4.33 × 0.03 ≈ 7.8 more orders, about $19,485 a month. These are inputs you choose, not results.

What should I do with the number?

Compare it with the cost of the pilot and plans, and check your inputs against your own data with the RFQ response-time calculator. For background on why speed matters, see the quote response time statistics.

Example first year on Starter: $5,000 setup + $3,500 pilot + 11 months at $2,000 = $30,500, taxes extra. See the full cost breakdown
