About Merlin

Short answer

Merlin is a Québec company that builds a bilingual AI Quote & Order Desk for industrial distributors and manufacturers with 10 to 200 staff, starting in Québec and then Ontario. It drafts quotes from a company's own price sheet, answers order-status questions, sends certificates and follows up on open quotes, and a person approves everything before it is sent.

Why does Merlin exist?

Many distributors and manufacturers quote by email, from a price sheet or an ERP export, and the same few inside-sales people also answer order-status questions and send certificates. When they are busy, quotes wait. Buyers rarely do: in a 2020 survey of custom-parts buyers, 67% said they expect a quote within 24 hours.

Merlin takes the routine part of that work, matching each requested line to the price sheet and assembling the quote, and leaves the judgment to your team. See how the Quote Desk works.

What are the principles behind the product?

  • A person approves everything. No quote, order update, document or follow-up reaches a customer without approval.
  • Prices come from your data. Prices, totals and lead times are calculated in code from your price sheet; the AI only picks which catalog item matches a request.
  • Bilingual by default. Merlin replies in the language the customer wrote in, in natural Québec business French or English.
  • Your data stays yours. Hosted in Canada and never used to train AI models. Read the security overview.
  • Plain pricing. Every price is on the pricing page: no usage credits, no overages.

Who is behind Merlin?
